Week 18 – Miracles and Sacrifice

Wow what a week. We saw a lot of miracles. To keep it quick, I went to the office and got my new companion. He just came from his home in Busan. We get along good and work really effectively together 🙂 I’m really happy and am growing in a lot of new ways. I feel very consecrated and we our focused on our purpose all the time. To help others come unto Christ. I love this work. It’s work for sure but it’s great.
We met a lady in the street, she wanted to know why other people call us a cult and what’s different about us haha. She was pretty honest but we like that. Turns out she’s known one of our members for years and wants to attend a church. We’re meeting her this week over zoom.
Today our schedule is mixed up because we had 3 appointments that we just had to get in before we hit the road tomorrow. We met a friend of another Elder in our mission and he’s really special. Super nice and kind and seems very sincere.
This week I’ve internalized more and more the life and sacrifice of Christ. Repentance. A process and blessing that has changed my life and continually changes me. This scripture stuck out to me recently.
“…I will give up all that I posess… that I may receive this great joy… I will give away all my sins to know thee, and that I may be raised from the dead and be saved at the last day.”
What am I willing to give? God requires sacrifice. The reward is well worth it. The privilege to sacrifice is so precious. It strengthens me. I will give away anything to know Him. To learn more and be assured of where I go after this life and who it will be with. If my family isn’t right there with me, what will it be worth?
I love you all and just wanted your to remember, “… the worth of souls is great in the sight of God.” Love you all 🙂
